Trap

    Once again I have tracked you down my little reader. You have a linux, and tend to use chrome as your search engine, and you are in US, not in Russia. That's someone else. :P But i've tracked you down (twice now), and you fell into my little trap, cuz now i know that every time i post something, you immediately check it out. So this means that you have to be a person that checks their messages and emails on the spot. So you're prompt and have your cellphone with you almost always (and/or computer near you). So this may be a stretch but i want to guess that when someone sends you a text message, you respond immediately or as soon as you can no?

    Now i have to ask you. Are you outside a lot? Do you txt a lot? Are you into apps like LINE, Whatsapp, or Kakaotalk? (^__-) ⁂
    Am i getting close?

    So A didn't show up, and that is no surprise. But i'm in a good mood so just ignored him and went and ate regardless. :P This belly needs food. I didn't even need to say what i wanted for today. Michael (the guy that works there behind the counter. just learned his name today) was like " i know what you want. this and this. no pickles right?". I say, "nah you can keep them. sometimes you just want the flavor even if you don't necessarily eat it.". We talked a little more. He's interesting to talk to.

    Ah hold on. Just got a email.


    Ok.
    That was Yizhou He.
    He says yes for lunch. :D

    So it looks like it's gonna be:
    Yoko, Jose, Yizhou He and me.
    Japanese, american/puerto rican, chinese, puerto rican.

    Eating cuban food.

    I should get discounts for bringing them more customers. :P

    And just got an email from the international office:
gotta pick a date for interviewing. (it's for the peer mentor program). Basically i get to hang out with a bunch of 'foreigners' that are new and show them around and answer their questions. Most likely i'm guessing most of them would be from china, just cuz that's where a bunch of INT and exchange students are coming from recently.


    Was just reading an article that i plan to use for my research paper for poli. sci. class. topic is brazil and japan. specifically on nikkei. (last year i tried to write on zen buddhism in brazil, but there wasn't enough info cuz it had to be specifically on zen and not on another group/sect, so i switched it to zen from japan to u.s.) this quarter we just happen to bring up that same subject, buddhism in brazil, and then we started talking about people, blah blah blah, and i'm like: yup this is what i'll write about. decision made. something i'm curious about.

    Anyway,

Was totally gonna take my scooter in the city today but forgot! I would have felt totally ヤバイ
けど忘れちゃった！。・゜・(ノД`)・゜・。

Got a small conversation with K yesterday:
K: Question:
Do you run regularly, or is the 5k something you found?
Me:i dont run regularly, and yes i did find it but i plan to be more active. y wats up?
K: Just curious, I haven't run regulary in a while and I've been getting ready for it. just curious :)
Me: ok cool cool!
K: I'd forgotten the initial lung burning of just starting again, but no pain no gain :)
Me: well the 5k thing is not compettive either :) no worries

So i'm really looking forward for this glow in the dark 5K. I'm gonna ask if Yo and J want to join on wednesday. I've already got J addicted to cafecito. It's only a matter of time until Yo joins in. Muajajajaja. My 優しくて一生懸命なskills of persuasion are totally ヤバイ！

And got checked up by J (this J is juan from florida, not jose) last night. just asking how i was doing. I say i'm good: studying and hanging out with people. He says he's not glued to his bed today. :)

I'm guessing that happens to him a lot. Alright, got to get back to study. Midterm today. Will be difficult with allergies acting up. (this whole week it's made me feel shitty cuz i can't stop sniffing, sneezing, or scratching my nose. graaaaaaaa)

Best line and best present

2 Questions of the day: What has been the best line a guy has told you?

I don't remember the exact words but it was something like, " i don't need to look at other girls when i have the best one right here ". In my head i was thinking " aw, you're so nice. why are you so nice? stop being so nice to me", cuz i felt my heart pumping out and i didn't want it to pump out at that moment. i know i smiled but i'm pretty sure i diverted the situation like i usually do in my 'auto-nervous-response' mode. stupid me.

What was the best present a guy has given you?

His time and loving attention.

If you mean materialistic present, um. . . . that hasn't happened so far. I have gotten small gifts before but i could tell that he/they didn't put much thought into it. In other words it was something that you could give to everyone. It wasn't specific to the things i like, and when i received them i felt like saying "you shouldn't have. really".

For example, one time i got a combination of different chocolates, a pair of earrings, and a christmas tree decoration. The chocolates were ok. . . The earrings were horrible present (at least for me), because I never wear earrings (other than the cartilage one i got for my quinseñero), and if I do wear them they can't be fake because i'm allergic to fake jewelry (my ears start getting irritated, and start to bleed). So it was obvious that he had never payed attention to the fact that i don't wear earrings.

And the xmas tree decoration was a silhouette of a guy with a guitar and music notes on it. I'm like. . . this is something you would want. Not me.

I was happy that he thought "hey i should get her something", but it also hurt because it showed how much he didn't know about me.

There was another time when one guy gave me flowers. It was for valentines day. Your typical red roses. I was happy that he thought about me, and I thanked him for the flowers. I didn't tell him about my allergies because i didn't want to crush his heart by saying "yea they're nice but i can't keep them near me........".

I'm not materialistic. I would much rather get like. . . a 2 page letter or something simple and creative (if the occasion calls for creative), but nothing over the top. Is it something so sweet and gentle, or naughty where i have to open it with no one around? There are times when we want something (for me it's the experience: like a night date or being stupid together or something), but at the end, being with the person is the best.

Warehouse 13 episode "The Living and the Dead"; season4, episode 11:

guy1: it won't be easy. the counseling were all buried with them in the catacombs. under paris.
guy2: alright, so we go to paris. she knows every language there is.
guy1: yes, well your first problem is that marie placed an impenetrable lock on the crypt. I'm rather curious actually, anyone trying to get through, wound up flamed alive, unless you know a good lock smith.
guy2: well, we really don't have problem with locks.
         we have a bitchin' set of tools.

    I love it when he says "we have a bitchin' set of tools". I'm so gonna say that from now on! Plus it's always fun to say something like "i'm the best biatch with a scooter! watch out!".

    Another thought: people's eyelashes or single eyebrow hair must to fall off that often for people to come up with the thing of "make a wish when one falls off", cuz my eyelashes always seem to fall off, so i get to make a lot of wishes right? :D

    Thought #3: just downloaded the Doo-Wops & Hooligans Bruno Mars album to my itunes. now just waiting for the unorthodox jukebox album so i can crank up the music at the house.

    Thought #4: ok so plans for this week: monday meet with andrew (on my terms. there is no way i am allowing him to come to my house and pick me up. no way!! someone needs to tell his gigantic ego that he's not all that. jajaja), thursday meet with jose and yoko, and friday sushi bar with ken. and already got my tickets for the Electric daisy carnival. should be pretty awesome!!! if you click on the link, you can see more pictures and stuff. but what im still just dying to do is paddle boarding and go back to kayaking and cycling! TT_TT

    Thought #5: its midterms week. at least i only have to deal with 2 exams and not 4. yup thats all for now. not much interesting.
